The Historical Society is thrilled to have Bill Schustik and friends Sharon Scott, Rob &J. Davis and Gary Reinstrom entertaining and educating us on Pirates’ Eve, Friday 15 at 5:30 pm. We’ve included rum punch (yo ho ho) and pirate grub (not quite sure what that is, but since it’s from the famed Broadway Bar, it’ll be yummier than whatever came out of the ship’s galley, I’m sure!) and all sorts of wonderful silent auction items. The Bidwell-Wood House, and our unique local artists’/ crafters’/ authors’ Gift Shop will be open as well that evening for your strolling and sipping pleasure.
The cost? A very affordable $30 per ($25 for members), by reservation only. Call 941-364-9076 to charge, or email Linda at hsosc@yahoo.com. Limited seating, so you’ll want to save yourself a spot ASAP (that’s PirateTalk for avast ye swabbies, all hands on deck!)
The Star-Spangled Banner won’t be part of our Pirates’ Eve, but enjoy this little showcase of Bill’s talents from Youtube.
If you are unable to make our special adults-evening event, do come to Pioneer Park the next day, Saturday November 16, from 10 to 4 to enjoy the family-friendly Pirates and Pioneers Day! Admission is a donation for the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Campaign.
