How We Celebrated Linda Garcia

If you weren’t able to attend the Celebration of Life for Linda Garcia, our beloved Site Manager for 15 years, here’s the slide presentation from Sunday afternoon, November 17.

To view the slides easily, click the 3-dot menu and choose “full screen”…you’ll be able to advance the slides at your own pace from there.

And some candid shots from the day. (Click each to enlarge.)

We dedicated the bench on the porch of the Bidwell-Wood House to Linda, and three commemorative bricks donated by some of her friends will be installed in the courtyard.
(Want to buy a brick in your name for Linda? Click here.)

Highlights of the afternoon included Greg Dickinson, our President recalling his 40 years of knowing Linda and her parties. He even wore his McGuire Sisters St Patrick’s Party T-shirt! Then Jane Kirschner, who introduced HSoSC to Linda and vice versa, shared memories, As a finale, Jane suggested we all ring our bells. We even rang the church bell you’ll see in the presentation, and had a guided meditation, which concluded with a giant gong!

As Jane said, “every time a bell rings, it means an angel got her wings.” By that token, Linda is soaring easy and happy in the ether.

  1. I love Linda and always will and I will not say loved because it that love) will live as long as I do and then (if I qualify) I will tell her again. Sue

    • So sorry, Jan, of course you can call our office at 941-364-9076 and speak with the Linda-approved-and-trained Jon Stone about a brick in Linda’s memory! Let’s pave the whole courtyard with them!
